Peace Foundation is a Non-Government Organization Founded 8th Nov.
2014 with a prospect to inspire and instigate the 21st century youths
to imbibe and cultivate the culture of peace, also to discover and utilize
their latent potential to become financial independent towards achieving a
sustainable peace in Nigeria and the world at large.
MISSION
To promote a
sustainable peace through youth advocates, public enlightenment and awareness.
To ensure that every
Nigerian child acquire quality education.
To empower the youths
through skill acquisition.
VISION
Total eradication of
impasse violence, conflict and terrorism.
To bring basic skill
that will enhance quality education in every Nigerian child.
To help the less
privilege.
In our quest for a
sustainable peace, quality education, and youth empowerment, we have toiled our
efforts towards every Nigerian child especially the youths in creating a
society free of terrorism, violence and conflict.
To empower the youths
with basic skills to become self-employed and financially independent. Often times the youths seems to bear the
responsibility of violence, conflict and terrorism, therefore, without peace
development is practically impossible. The youths have major roles to play in
building, advocating and promoting a sustainable peace in Nigeria and the world
at large.
We strongly believe that no nation can achieve any meaningful development and
growth without a peaceful environment. Therefore, peace is an occurrence of
harmony characterized by absence of terrorism, violence, conflict, anxiety and
hostility.
The impact peace makes
in every society and nation can never be over emphasize as it commemorates
rapid development in all works of life. At home, in the society and country
peace has been bridged by incessant killings, wars and individuals characters,
which have melted down the economic growth and development of many nations
especially Nigeria, countries like Nigeria, Liberia, Rwanda, Palestine, Iran,
Iraq, Gaza, Zimbabwe and Syria have suffered this unpeacefulness over the
years, thereby, experiencing poor economic growth and development.
Millions of people have
been displaced due to insurgency especially in the North east of Nigeria, the
abduction of chibok school girls has become an international issue, it is high
time we the youth say no to this ugly menace and begin to imbibe and cultivate
the culture of peace in everyday life for economic growth and development of
our country Nigeria and the world at large. To this effect the quest for peace
remains a perplexing problem and mankind continue to seek peace and development
in the world around him therefore peace in the bedrock that propagates unity,
integrity, transparency, economic growth and development. It imperative that
parents should inculcate in their children at early stage the culture of peace,
so that they can grown up with the spirit of peacefulness, because the platform
of peace starts from home. The youth should also cultivate the culture of
imbibing peace in their lives.
As it is rightly said
when there is peace in a person, there is peace in the house. When there is
peace in the house there is peace in the community. When there is peace in the
community there is peace in the land. When there is peace in the land there is
peace in the world.
On behalf of ladder of
light int’l peace foundation is recognition that peace remains the only
antidote to violence, conflict and terrorism we therefore, urge every Nigerian
especially the youths, to be a vanguard and ambassadors of peace, because peace
is the only ingredient for national, economic growth and development of any
nation. Peace is the key to wonderful world. Let’s make Nigeria a peaceful
place to stay and live in!!!
